The Dean River is a 72-unit, transit-oriented apartment building in the ideally-situated Brooklyn neighborhood of Southeast Portland, Oregon. Residents can reach downtown Portland in fifteen minutes via the 17th St Max station immediately across the street. Several adjacent greenways make for a quick bike trip to Portland State University, Oregon Health and Science University, or Downtown. Three city parks are within walking distance and within a few blocks residents can access the amenities on offer in both Brooklyn and Division Street including music venues, dining, and shopping.

As a complement to the three apartments built under Portland’s Inclusionary Zoning program, which will be rented to residents earning no more than 60% of the Area Median Income (AMI), the balance of the building provides accessibly priced apartments by way of efficient floorplans. Of the 69 market-rate units in the building, 19 are affordable to those earning 100% of AMI and 50 are affordable to those earning 80% of AMI.

The Dean River was built to the Energy Trust of Oregon’s ‘Best’ standard and it donates a portion of its income to the Fresh Water Trust in order to support the health of our rivers.
