Harnessing a diverse skillset Soyoung comfortably exercises both her right and left brain capacities; she oversees corporate marketing, financial operations, and participates in development management. Originally from Brooklyn, NY, Soyoung Graduated from Boston University with a B.A. in Communication and a minor in Anthropology.

Soyoung grew up assisting with her family money services business. Her father was an entrepreneur and she gained valuable insight on what it takes to run a small financial services business in Manhattan. Whether it was organizing workflow, balancing the books, corresponding with banking partners, maintain compliance with the IRS, satisfying the State Banking Department requirements or preparing for routine audits, the experience provided a solid foundation.

Soyoung began her career as an Account Executive with several strategic marketing agencies in New York City. The majority of her time was spent at Digitas, New York, where she specialized in customer acquisition, retention and loyalty programs for financial services and fortune 100 companies such as Chase Manhattan Bank, American Express, Delta Skymiles and Allstate Insurance Company. Soyoung’s transferrable project management skillset, which includes orchestrating a team of creatives and producers, developing and executing strategic marketing plans and pitches, creating timelines and adhering to strict production deadlines, building client relationships, and analyzing target market data has been an asset to her role at Ethos.

Additionally, Soyoung worked at a direct-lender mortgage firm opening loans and preparing loan packages for in-house underwriters and later as a full-time bookkeeper for a motion graphics company in Los Angeles.

Outside of Ethos, Soyoung enjoys indulging in creative activities, spending time learning new skills, exploring and traveling with her husband, two children and Terrier rescue.
