Nomad, a 130-unit transit-oriented apartment building in North Portland adjacent to the Killingsworth MAX station, is currently under construction and slated for a mid 2020 completion. The project is intended to provide housing to both PCC students and downtown commuters. All of the units in the building feature efficient floorpans and many include built-in furniture. As a complement to the eight units in the building that will be rented to residents earning 60% of the Area Median Income, the rest of the building is designed to provide market rate affordability by way of efficient floorplans and sub-market gross rents. The project will be be built to the Energy Trust of Oregon’s ‘Best’ status.
Nomad’s interiors will display motorcycle culture and feature works by a different well known moto photographer on each floor and a custom by Venier Motorcycles will be displayed in the building’s lobby cafe.
